The Furniture

Furniture consisted of a cupboard, instruments shelf and a fold-down table. All were made from timber and were painted with three coats of oil paint and a white gloss finish. 

The cupboard

Unfortunately our cupboard, was severely damaged in the fire, only when dismantled and brought back to the surface could the damage be evaluated. Turton Post still has a cupboard, that too has been damaged by fire, it was felt that it would a waste of time locating one from distant post, dismantling (not straight forward).
